Research Paper Proposal Ins and Outs

Every undergraduate student needs to write a research paper proposal. Although its name suggests what it is all about many students still fail to execute the purpose of such paper – a concrete and logical study proposal.

Simply put, research paper proposals must be able to present the ideas, issues, or researches that students want to pursue in their writing. Furthermore, a sound proposal can show professors that the writer has actually taken the time and effort to think about the research paper writing process.

For starters, here are the ins and outs of a good research paper proposal:

· statement of the question that the study intend to answer
· brief literature review, wherein relevant materials to the research paper topic is reviewed
· a statement explaining what the main point of the argument
· an outline of the paper itself – introduction, body, conclusion, bibliography, etc.
· a bibliography for the proposal.

By and large, research paper proposals don’t have to be at all. Generally, they are no longer than four pages. However, content quality needs to be high as well as concise.
