5 Basic Steps to Essay Paper Writing

Students often regard writing essay paper as quite a complex task as it allegedly demands a number of intricate steps to be done. The reality is there are actually only five basic steps to follow in order to produce a quality essay paper. These five steps are incredibly simple and far from the connotation of complication.

  • Evaluate the resources. Resources that have been collected need to undergo critical analysis to determine the good quality of the academic information. There are several criteria in evaluating resources – author, relevance, date of publication and many more depending on the subject matter.
  • Write. After careful researching it is then time to sit down and start writing. Enjoy writing for a more free flowing of ideas but be cautious of the technical side as well – grammar, punctuation and formatting.
  • Cite. Never forget to cite properly. Accurate attribution of sources prevents plagiarism and is useful for other future related studies. Failure to cite resources is a sign of reckless essay paper writing.

Writing an essay paper may not be as easy as 123 but it is also not as difficult as many students perceive it. Academic written works becomes complicated if the five basic steps in writing are not observed properly.
